2 for 1 Clarice House Superior Pampering Spa Day Special Offer

"I have to be honest, I don't tend to write reviews, but this experience exceeded my expectations I felt it deserved one! I bought this voucher to treat my Mum (and myself) to a day pampering. Having picked the Colchester location we embarked on our journey - both eager for our facials which we booked for 10am. It was not a great start as we got lost and the directions are far from clear. However, to the spas credit they offered to reschedule out facials for later in the day - this was a great start as I know some places would have just said it was our fault for missing our slot. Slightly stressed from the journey we got shown to a stunning conservatory overlooking beautiful gardens. Here we indulged in a large couple of coffees and scoffed two delicious croissants! Feeling more relaxed and a lot calmer we headed for the pool. I was very impressed by the facilities. There was a large section for lane swimming (for those feelings more energetic) and a more relaxed area with seats within the pool with water jets for you to unwind in and of course the standard jacuzzi. The pool area was lovely, with loungers around the edge - I have to say the photo of a lady strutting her stuff by the pool area really doesn't do it justice! We had paid extra for a full body massage which was exceptional. Our manicures and facials were also top notch. I was a little dubious about what we could expect for lunch. Spending most of my time watching what I eat, I wanted a day off to unwind and stuff my face - I feared it would be a large bowl of salad! Fear not, the menu was exceptional. I picked guinea fowl to start, followed by a scrumptious lamb with dauphinoise potatoes. It was all beautifully presented and the drinks were not over priced either - shame I was driving so had to pace myself on the wine front! Having been on several spa days/breaks, this one stood out. It was run incredibly well, with the staff very friendly and sticking to their time schedules. Everywhere was clean and the changing facilities were super, with lovely dressing areas and hair-dryers that worked! Although this may not be the cheapest spa deal around, I was really impressed with the Colchester venue and would certainly go again.
